About the event
Join us in celebrating two whole years of Emerald Coast Storytellers! We're thrilled to kick off our anniversary festivities in the place that started it all, with the incredible community that has made this journey possible.
Doors will open at 5:00 for a cocktail hour, followed by an evening of captivating stories beginning at 6:00. We'll have a complimentary charcuterie spread from The Salty Butcher, and The Sunset Slice & Scoop food truck will be in the house serving up delicious pizza, bruschetta, and more for purchase. Be sure and come early so you can grab some food, drinks, and your seats.
Come raise a glass with us and share in the magic of storytelling!
We’re so excited to welcome back Snowden Wright as our July Featured Storyteller! Snowden, who hails from Mississippi, was the very first Featured Storyteller at our inaugural Emerald Coast Storytellers Open Mic back in 2022.
Snowden Wright is the author of American Pop, a Wall Street Journal WSJ+ Book of the Month and NPR Best Book of the Year. He has written for The Atlantic, Salon, Esquire, The Millions, and the New York Daily News, among other publications, and previously worked as a fiction reader at The New Yorker, Esquire, and The Paris Review. Wright was a Marguerite and Lamar Smith Fellow at the Carson McCullers Center, and his small-press debut, Play Pretty Blues, received the Summer Literary Seminar’s Graywolf Prize. He lives in Yazoo County, Mississippi. His latest novel, The Queen City Detective Agency, deemed “a hilarious and edgy ride into the deepest of the Deep South” by New York Times bestselling author Ace Atkins, is set to be released this August.
